When Paul writes letters, he is writing every day, ordinary letters to real people in real cities trying to deal with the circumstances in which they’re living. He does want to deal with theological issues, but Paul is not writing theological treatises as much as he’s giving advice, instruction, and encouragement for living and praying for the primary issues in the life of the early church.
